Not even a lifetime will be enough to 'master' an opening but you could probably learn the fundamental ideas behind the opening in just a few hours.
How easily you absorb chess knowledge is entirely dependent on your motivation. If you're doing it only to win games or as an intellectual exercise, absorption rate will be poor and the knowledge you acquire will degrade quickly. Most likely, after just a few weeks, you will have forgotten most of what you learned.
To learn chess efficiently, you need to be genuinely passionate about chess where winning games is not in any way shape or form the end goal. Unfortunately, passion is not something you can summon on a whim, it can only be natural.

No one masters an opening as they keep changing, You can learn the plans pawn structures and ideas, How long it takes is up to how well you learn and how much time you put into it.

How fast can you do the lines and how well do you understand the lines will be how fast you do the course.
